Membro della SCNAT

Gli obiettivi principali della Società svizzera di astrofisica e astronomia (Swiss Society for Astrophysics and Astronomy (SSAA)) sono la promozione della scienza e della ricerca nel settore dell’astrofisica e dell’astronomia, lo sviluppo della reciproca informazione e collaborazione tra gli astronomi svizzeri nonché il sostegno delle loro comuni iniziative scientifiche.

Membership

Following the statutes of the society, ordinary members are physical persons carrying out research or teaching in astronomy/astrophysics or related topics, or persons contributing to the development of astronomy in Switzerland.

To become a member please send an application letter, supported by 2 ordinary members, to the . A simple letter or e-mail, including the names of the supporting members, suffices. Best practice is to CC the supporting members.

SSAA members have the opportunity to be members of the European Astronomical Society (EAS) for free. New members should indicate in their application whether they aim to profit from this option.

Applications are welcome any time of the year!

The annual membership fee is CHF 30 for ordinary members.
